Once upon a time there was a mom with a baby who would not sleep. In a desperate measure to encourage the fabled sleep to happen the mom bought a fish tank. The soothing bubbly noise encouraged said child to sleep so the mom bought a second tank, then a third, and in the end had close to thirty fish tanks running in that 2 bedroom, 3rd floor apartment. 


Around this same time the now bored mom of two decided her fish needed something in their tanks, Something to hide, breed, play, flirt, and sleep in. She spotted a big ol bag of clay and began making the original caves and hidie holes. Soon other fish got jealous and wanted them too so the mom who was now newly christened as "SaltydaPleco" began making more and more structures. They became a hit across a wide range of fishkeepers. Fish love them.


Today SaltydaPleco is making a wide variety of caves for a wide variety of fish keepers. We sell online, at local aquatic events, and at the occasional convention.
